Puneet Dutta of Amari Galle recognised as one of Sri Lanka’s Best General Managers in hospitality

Puneet Dutta, the General Manager of Amari Galle, was recently recognised as one of Sri
Lanka’s Best General Managers in the hospitality sector by CMO Asia and World Federation of Hospitality Professionals at an award event in Colombo.

With over 20 years of experience, Dutta is an industry veteran and won the award due to his vast expertise in different aspects of the business and exceptional management and leadership qualities. In addition to running a successful five-star property, Dutta also excels in the area of managing cross-cultural environments, hotel pre-openings and property turnarounds.

“Puneet played a key role in the successful launch of the Amari brand in Sri Lanka in 2016. His career with ONYX Hospitality Group started in 2015 as opening resort manager for Amari Havodda Maldives and he continues to display the same enthusiasm and dedication in creating unique and innovative experiences to enrich guest experience and satisfaction, adapting to different cultures, and being an exemplary leader to his team.
