Successful year of of Korea-Lanka School of Hospitality and Hotel Management

Korea-Lanka school of Hospitality and Hotel management supported by Korea International
Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Grant aid division of Korean Embassy in cooperation with
NGO(Good Partners), celebrated its 1st year anniversary on 18th July 2019.


Korea-Lanka school provides 3months of craft level course to the youth in Sri Lanka for free of charge. It enables the school to offer a proper education, thereby presenting
opportunity for students who are willing to have a job opportunity in the hotel industry.

The 1st year anniversary was graced by many distinguished guests including Lee Heon, the Ambassador of the Embassy of Republic of Korea, Ms. Yeon Hwa Kang, Director KOICA, officials of Good Partners Korea reputed personal from the Hotel and Travel industry, Government Officials and Good Partners & KLSHHM management, students and parents.

Mr. Prabodh Kulatunga Director General of Korea-Lanka School of Hospitality and Hotel
Management proudly announced the affiliations Korea-Lanka hotel school has already and
value of the programs being carried out as well as steps taken to make available advanced
training programs. He also thanked KOICA and Good Partners for their continued support.


In this occasion, Ambassador Lee Heon and Ms. Kang congratulated the 1st & 2nd batch students who have completed their course by awarding course confirmation certificates followed by the vote of thanks and a fellowship.

During his speech, the Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Heon Lee, stated that by this project, the Government of Korea wishes to contribute to fostering capable youth to work in the tourism industry.
